The harmonica Scales tool displays colour coded charts of scales found a harmonica according to the harmonica key you select as well as the position you're using.

Here's an example of what you can expect from the tool:

This chart displays the C major scale over a standard C diatonic harmonica. You can also specify the position you're playing in:

Here we have the same C harmonica being played in second position (also known as "cross harp" or "blues harp"), where the root note becomes G.

We can also mix and match positions and scales. Here's a blues scale on a C harp being played in second position:

As you can see, the bends available on each hole are also displayed. You can disable this feature under the More Options section. I haven't displayed the overbends or overblows, which I may add later.

You can also select from a number of different harmonica tunings. I've only added a few that I found on Overblow.com, which were in turn found on Pat Missin's Altered States site. I've only ever used standard diatonic harps, so it's not of much use to me personally, but I've added a few different tunings anyways just to make sure I wrote this software correctly. If you think I should add more, let me know.

Also of note is that I don't think I particularly like how the harmonica MIDI files are generated. I have to think about how to clean this up. Any harmonica players that have an opinion on this can contact me if they want. I'm not exactly a harmonica wiz, but I do what I can, and more experienced players can weigh in on this if they wish.
